What works best?
Images on a solid or near-solid background — logos, icons, product shots on white, flat graphics. Drag the slider to compare before and after. For busy photo backgrounds, switch to the AI mode (people & portraits).
How do I keep an enclosed area, like the gap inside a logo?
When the background is a solid colour, Lumisphere erases that colour everywhere by default — so enclosed gaps (the inside of an “O”, the hole in an “A”) become transparent too, which is what you want for most logos. To keep an enclosed same-coloured area instead, switch on “Keep holes”: it then only clears background that connects to the edge.
Is it really private?
Yes. Everything happens in your browser — there is no upload and nothing is stored on a server. You can even use it offline once the page has loaded.
Why are the edges fuzzy or haloed?
Raise Softness for a smoother edge, and keep “Clean edges” on to unmix the old background colour out of the outline. Antialiased logos cut out cleanest against the colour they were drawn on.
