Remove a white (or any solid) background

How do I remove a white background?
Add your image — the white is detected and removed automatically. If a little is left, nudge the Tolerance up, then download the transparent PNG.
My background is off-white or light grey — will it still work?
Yes. Increase the Tolerance slider so the eraser covers the slightly-off shade, and turn on Clean edges to remove any pale halo.
Will white inside my logo be removed too?
By default only background touching the edges is removed, so white enclosed inside a logo is kept. To clear those too, turn off Keep holes or use the Logo preset.
